Dylan Scott
Dylan finds peace and confidence through sport, fitness, and the community that comes with it. From the standard American kid chasing a soccer ball to a high school state champion in track and a collegiate cross-country runner and coach, fitness has always been a component of his life.
After suffering injuries that kept him from running competitively for three years, he found himself searching deeply for answers by studying anatomy, physiology, and nutrition. This led him to pursue a biology degree at Lander University, followed by one year of studying sports management at Winthrop University, and he picked up his ACSM personal training certification along the way.
As an all-around athlete, Dylan does as many sports as possible for both the sweat and the laughs. Here at the Suitcase of Courage, Dylan is working to contribute an upbeat and analytical perspective to our clients to aid in pain management and fitness attainment.
Andre Wilson
Andre loves exercise and all its benefits. Whether it’s better energy levels or just feeling happier, he craves the feeling it brings himself and, even more, the positive effects it has on others.
Andre is a multifaceted athlete, with a passion for basketball, obstacle course racing, and just generally challenging himself to experience new things. His formal education includes a BSc in Exercise Physiology along with over 10 years of experience as a health and wellness professional with an emphasis on sports fitness, exercise physiology, wellness program design, and pre/post-physical therapy.
At the Suitcase of Courage, Andre is able to channel his passion for wellness into analyzing areas of pain and discomfort occurring in the workplace, whilst designing programs that overcome them.
Maria Kugler
Maria's passion for positive energy and the growth of the people she works with is illuminating. After graduating with a BSc in Marketing she worked at Lululemon for 4 years; a combination of retail management, leadership development, and all-you-can-sweat shenanigans.
During this time her passion for yoga, wellness, and personal development unfolded, and this led Maria to complete her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification. Maria decided to take up wellness coaching and yoga instruction full-time soon after, and she is working towards her 500-hour certification with the Asheville, NC Yoga Center. Maria provides all of the Suitcase of Courage's yoga trainer courses and enjoys nothing more than seeing her students learn and grow into better versions of themselves.
Kyle Kugler, DPT
Kyle is a physical therapist working and living in Greenville SC. While many therapists promote exercise to their patients, Kyle strives to live each day either on the mountain bike or running along the swamp rabbit trail. Kyle received his MSc in Public Health and Community Wellness in 2010 and went on to graduate with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from FIU in 2014.
Kyle works with many different patients as he specializes in homecare therapy and neurological disorders. While working with orthopedic patients in the home, Kyle discovered that one of the greatest forms of PT is prevention and wellness. The majority of the patients seeking rehab could have avoided surgery or chronic pain symptoms by making small adjustments in their lifestyles and offices.
In 2018 Kyle began working as a consultant with The Suitcase of Courage to work towards employee wellness and injury prevention. Kyle has a certification with OSHA Ergonomics and Worker Safety and Illness Prevention. Using the Industrial Athlete Playbook Kyle can assess workplace movement patterns and identify areas of vulnerability to prevent overuse injuries. Kyle specializes in practical solutions that reduce injury risk and encourages collaborative problem-solving with The Suitcase of Courage team.
