Making Moves in Mesa!
Benjamin Goetz and Riley Stickler know that doing targeted exercise before starting the workday is a great way to wake up, loosen up, and start the day on a positive note with teammates. As ‘Champions’ for the Industrial Athleticism program in Mesa, Arizona at FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, the whole team of manufacturing technicians prioritize wellbeing by circling up and motivating each other through a series of specific stretches and exercises that support a high level of health and safety.
The Industrial Athleticism program has been going strong here since 2021 and has resulted in this team being less stiff, more connected, and safer for their workday. This group has done an exceptional job of owning the program themselves with enthusiasm and dedication. Not only do they ensure each new team member is brought up to speed when they are brought on, but they take it upon themselves to learn and implement the new IA program when it is updated.
“This group stays motivated completing their daily exercises with precision and care. They set a high bar when it comes to being self-starters and have really taken the program on fully which is awesome.” - Cameron Dorn, founder of The Suitcase of Courage
For Benjamin and Riley, it has simply become a standard part of their day and a way to challenge themselves to keep increasing their strength and flexibility, both as a team and individually.
“I’ve noticed that participation has increased, and in challenges, our group has also gotten better each time.” - Riley Stickler, Industrial Athleticism Champion for FUJIFILM INC.
“I get moving in the mornings better. I’m not so sore when waking up in the mornings, and I’ve noticed when we focus on certain muscle groups I have increased mobility in those areas.” - Benjamin Goetz, Industrial Athleticism Champion for FUJIFILM INC.
As we approach Independence Day in the US, we couldn’t be more proud of the ownership and hard work this group has demonstrated consistently over the years with the Industrial Athleticism program. We’re proud to recognize Benjamin, Riley and the entire team of manufacturing technicians who are making moves in Mesa! Way to go!
